Forever Bare BBL® is more comfortable, safer, and typically faster than other traditional treatments – plus it’s ideal for most skin types.
Most areas require 3 to 5 treatments at 4 to 6 week intervals. Long-term results depend on multiple factors such as hair thickness, the area treated, and the hair’s growth cycle.
Forever Bare BBL® predominantly treats hair in the anagen phase of growth – also known as the active growth phase. Since not all hairs are in the same growth stage at the same time, multiple treatments are necessary to target all hair in the treatment site.
Please shave the area to be treated prior to your appointment – if you forget, we will do this for you.
The hair removal treatments are comfortable and safe. A clear gel will be applied to your skin, then the BBL® energy is delivered with a cooled applicator, so there is minimal or no discomfort.
During the treatment, some patients experience a warm or stinging sensation in the treatment area. Personal sensitivity varies from patient to patient – we will discuss your sensitivity before your treatment.
For your safety, your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses.
The treatment time will vary depending upon the size of the area treated and your hair and skin type.
Typically, a smaller area only takes a few minutes, while a large area can take 15 minutes or longer.
Forever Bare BBL® is a comfortable treatment with virtually no downtime.
Immediately following your treatment, you may experience some redness that should go away within a few hours.
A few days to a week after treatment you may experience what seems to be regrowth of hair. Most of these hairs are actually being shed as a result of your Forever Bare BBL® treatment and are not growing back.
Minimal aftercare is needed. Your clinician will provide you with more information on what to expect as well as give you an aftercare plan to follow that will involve avoiding direct sun exposure and using sunscreen.
In most cases, you can resume your normal daily activities immediately.
